There’s no glory in climbing a mountain if all you want to do is to get to the top. It’s experiencing the climb itself – in all its moments of revelation, heartbreak, and fatigue – that has to be the goal.
My travel in the mountains mimics my life perfectly; I’ve failed far more than I’ve ever succeeded. While some of my successes have been grand they are only the sum of my great failures.
I believe that to be the real magic in life when the negatives add up to a positive.
I wish they would have taught me that equation in school. ?
